Competition has been identified as a critical issue, in the telecoms sector, as plans are advanced for the merger of Telecoms Providers LIME and Flow.
The issue was highlighted by Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade, Commerce and Information Technology, Camillo Gonsalves, during a Panel Discussion and Public Consultation held here this week.
Minister Gonsalves noted that competition will be an important issue in the post-merger environment.
The Panel Discussion and Public Consultation was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade, Commerce and Information Technology, in collaboration with National Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (NTRC) and the Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
