Omnibus operators from Belair to Carriere are withdrawing their services today in protest against the state of the roads along their routes.
President of the National Omnibus Association (NOBA), Anthony Bacchus, said the action was taken to press the authorities to improve the conditions of the roads.
Mr. Bacchus explained that the omnibus operators are withdrawing their services as the conditions agreed at a recent meeting with officials of the Ministry of Transport and Works have not been honored.
Mr. Bacchus said the omnibus operators are deeply concerned about the state of the roads and will continue to press for improvements.
