The Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines police Force is again appealing to persons to use the necessary safety gear when operating a motor vehicle or cycle on the nation’s roads.
The appeal came from Corporal Henry Providence of the Traffic Department, during on the Police On the Beat program aired on NBC Radio on Monday night.
Corporal Providence said persons are required by law, under Act number 12 of 2006, to ensure the use of protective helmets and seatbelts when operating or riding a motor vehicle.
Corporal Providence said the law also applies to the use of bicycles on the nation’s roads.
