President of the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Association of Music Professionals (SVG AMP), Orandie “Bomani” Charles says the nation has seen a decline in female recording artistes over the years.
He made this statement during a media briefing which was held yesterday to unveil the nominees for the different categories in the National Music Awards.
Awards will be presented in twenty-four categories during the Red Carpet event, slated for March 6th at the Memorial Hall.
Mr. Charles said the country has a plethora of talent especially in females and he is encouraging more female singers to have their music recorded and shared with the rest of the country.
He said this one of the main recommendations put forward by the National Music Awards committee.
