The Salvation Army here is appealing to members of the public to continue supporting their programs which they use to assist the less fortunate.
Commanding Officer of the Church in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Major Pierre Antoine said while they were able to raise 81-thousand dollars from the 2014 Christmas Kettle appeal, they have to continue their daily programs of assistance.
Major Antoine said, they are also continuing work at the children’s home which is located at Buccament which was damaged during the Christmas Floods in 2013 and he is appealing to Vincentians to assist them in this regard.
He said their objective is to finish work at this facility during the month or March to ensure that it is a safe haven for the children that live there.
