The St. Vincent the Grenadines Table Tennis Association is mourning the passing of one of its former National Women’s Tennis Player’s, Vanda Anita Providence Pype, who died aged 53 last month.
“Anita” as she was popular known by most in the Table Tennis Fraternity and throughout St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
She would have won the National Women’s Singles Title on several occasions and would have represented St. Vincent and the Grenadines on many times during the 1970’s and early 80’s.
She would have also teamed-up with players like David “SKY” Llewellyn and Elliot Charles in Mix Doubles locally and regionally.
Anita died at her residence in the village of Sion Hill. She would be laid to rest on the February 12th, 2015.
