The Forestry Department in the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, has expressed satisfaction with the conduct of local hunters during the current hunting season which concludes on January 31st.
The hunting season for various species of wildlife, including the popu;ar Iguana, runs from October 1st to January 31st.
Speaking on NBC’s Face to Face programme this morning, Director of Forestry, Fitzgerald Providence, said the season was favorable with minimal reports of breaches in hunting regulations.
And, Forestry Officer Bradford Latham, said the department continues to put measures in place to discourage persons from conducting illegal hunting activities in the various protected areas.
