Information and Communications Technology (ICT) has been identified and the bedrock to ensuring development within St. Vincent and the Grenadines and the rest of the Caribbean Region.
This was reiterated by a number of speakers during today’s opening of a three-day Training Workshop focusing on Broadband Regulatory Safeguards in the Era of Convergence.
This workshop is being co-ordinated by CARCIP – the Caribbean Regional Communications Infrastructure Program, in collaboration with the Eastern Caribbean Telecommunications Authority (ECTEL).
Delivering an address during this morning’s opening of the workshop, Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves said the Government continues to place great emphasis on ICT because it has tremendous potential to create wealth and develop the lives of Vincentians.
