Choppins United and Playing It Safe played to an exciting two all draw yesterday in the last preliminary Group “A” match of the Hairoun Beer Calliaqua Football League at the Calliaqua Playing Field.
Gary Cyrus netted both goals for Playing It Safe. The goals for Choppins United were scored by Corey Goodluck and Ronique Haynes.
The quarter-finals lineup will see Glenside Ball Blazers meet Choppins United tomorrow from 4:30 pm also at the Calliaqua Playing Field.
On Saturday, Diamonds United will play against Playing It Safe, then on Sunday, Huffles Ranch Brighton United will oppose Max’s Strikers and defending champions Prospect United will tackle the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Coast Guard on Monday.
Meanwhile, there will be a training session for the Calliaqua League Team from half past four this afternoon in preparation for the All Windward Football Championship scheduled to start on Sunday at the Chili Playing Field in Georgetown.
