Young Strugglers defeated Nice Radio Clinchers 58-44 on Saturday night to clinch the Division (1) Knockout Title as the curtains down on the Vita Malt Sion Hill Netball Championship at the Sion Hill Hard Court.
The most valuable player in the Division (1), Shanique De Shong was the most valuable player for Young Strugglers, Perlitha Sylvan of Nice Radio Clinchers, Aliya Anderson of Star Girls, Yornette Belmar of Green Hill Sports and Cultural Club was their top player, Jessica Lavia of Owia Combined Girls.
In Division (2), Carlene Douglas of Netters Team, Rochelle Franklyn of Sydney Strikers, Mischa Baptiste of Stinger Girls, for New Era Pepper Stars Molisha Ashton, Johann Welch of South Stars, Vets Sports Club top player was Esther Robinson and Sherry-Ann John was Everready Future Stars top player.
Rochelle Franklyn of Sydney Strikers with 125 goals scored the most goals in the Championships.
The Best Dressed Team was New Era Pepper Stars of Calliaqua, while Everready Future Stars won the Best Banner.
The Division League Title was won by Young Strugglers, second was Nice Radio Clinchers and third Green Hill Sports and Cultural Club.
Young Strugglers won the Division League (2) Title, with Nice Radio Clinchers second and South Stars was third.
Stinger Girls and Shannon King won the most disciplined Team and disciplined player Awards respectively which was presented with a $250.00 from area Representative, Hon. Arnhim Eustace.
The Sion Hill Committee also honoured, Earl “CABBA” Bennett, Laverne Ollivierre, Cheryl Alexander, Michelle Wiseman, Sean Ferdinand, Kasanga Huggins, Sandra Carrington, Claudia Williams, Cindy Lavia and Francielia Knights.
