Attorney at Law, Rodrick Jones, said while St. Vincent and the Grenadines does not have any specific fraud legislation, issues of fraud are addressed in other mechanisms.
He was speaking on the Views On Issues programme aired on NBC Radio on Sunday, which focused on the issue of “Occupational Fraud and Abuse”.
Mr. Jones said persons found guilty of fraud would still face conviction under the Theft Act.
And, Head of the Major Crimes Unit, Inspector Trevor Bailey, said fraud continues to be an area of priority for the Police Force.
