Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves says the Government has been able to secure significant resources to carry out a number of infrastructural projects in North Leeward, in the wake of the devastation caused by the floods of December 2013.
The Prime Minister made the point, as he delivered the feature address at a ceremony held in North Leeward yesterday to mark the start of construction on the Chateaubelair Bridge, which was damaged during the Christmas 2013 floods.
The Project includes the construction of three Bailey Bridges in the villages of Sharpes, Kakarta and Plan in Chateaubelair, under the Disaster Rehabilitation Works Program.
The Bridges are being constructed by a Team from Ecuador with support from Vincentians.
