A Nutrition Outreach Programme which was carried out in the West St. George Constituency wraps up today at the Gomea Methodist Primary School.
The eight-week programme attracted thirty persons, who were trained in Skills in theory and practical session in cooking with staples and legumes food from Animal, fruits and Vegetables.
These sessions were aimed at educating participants about the importance of healthy eating and healthy lifestyles and promote the awareness of obesity and its risk factors.
The programme was organized by the Nutrition Unit; and the Adult and Continuing Education Division of the Ministry of Education.
The closing ceremony will hear addresses from Parliamentary Representative for West St. George Ces McKie; officials from the Ministry of Health and the adult and continuing division, as well as Program Facilitator Wendy Williams.
The ceremony begins at 4pm this afternoon.
