The project to reconstruct the Caratal Bridge, which was damaged during the December 2013 Flood, is ongoing and is scheduled to be completed by October next year.
Chief Engineer in the Ministry of Transport and Works, Brent Bailey tells NBC News the work on this Bridge is to be undertaken as part of the Disaster Response project which is being funded through a loan from the Bank of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
Mr. Bailey said work on the Caratal Bridge would have already commenced and they expect this work to run for an eight month period.
Mr. Bailey also said the Ministry is also continuing with a number of projects in Mesopotamia, Sandy Bay and Fancy.
