Minister of Health Wellness and the Environment, Clayton Burgin says the Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines has been strengthening its partnerships with a number of entities, in the fight to reduce the spread of HIV/AIDS.
Minister Burgin outlined the progress being made in this area, in a message to mark World Aids Day 2014.
The day is being observed under the theme: Getting to zero. Zero new infections, Zero Discrimination and Zero Aids related deaths.
Minister Burgin said professionals in the Ministry of Health have been working tirelessly to zero new infections.
Minster Burgin also appealed to Vincentians to support the efforts of local health professionals who are working to reduce the spread of the disease.
