Over thirty persons will receive advanced training in “Post Traumatic Stress Disorder this week.
The training is being coordinated by the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, in partnership with Loma Linda University and Adventist Development Relief Agency (ADRA).
The participants, who completed Phase One of the training held earlier this year, will be drawn from the Seventh Day Adventist Church, the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education.
The training begins at nine this morning, at the National Insurance Services Training Room, and will run until Friday
Organizers say the training will add to the repertoire of skills and knowledge-base of participants, and prepare them to become first responders to any person or persons becoming victims of any traumatic disorder or condition.
The training will be facilitated by Drs. Beverley Buckles and Adam Archia from the Department of Social Work at Loma Linda University.
