Chairman of the National Surveillance Committee in the Ministry of Health Wellness and the Environment Dr. Rosmond Adams is appealing to Vincentians to take all the necessary precautions to protect themselves from the Chikungunya Viral Disease.
Dr. Adams made the appeal, as he provided an update on the progress being made by the Ministry of Health to contain the outbreak of the disease here.
He noted that the fight against the Aedes Aegypti Mosquito which transmits the disease, is a difficult one, but a number of measures can be taken by persons at an individual level, to reduce the spread of the disease.
