The General Employees Cooperative Credit Union (GECCU) yesterday awarded bursaries to three of its members to assist in their undergraduate studies.
The bursaries, totaling 30 thousand EC dollars, were awarded to Ricky Haynes, J’wani Peters and Natalie Glasgow, at a ceremony at GECCU’s office in Kingstown
Speaking at the ceremony, Senior Education Officer for Secondary Schools, Asfo Stephens, commended GECCU for their worthwhile initiative.
Mr. Stephens said such initiatives help in improving the level of access to education by all Vincentians.
The presentation of bursaries forms part of GECCU’s 50th anniversary celebrations.
