Results of matches played in the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Table Tennis Association Secondary School’s Championships last Friday at the West St. George Secondary School in Belair.
Dr. JP Eustace Memorial Secondary beat Bishop’s College Kingstown, 3-1, Tahj Williams defeated Uriah Lyttle 9-11, 11-3, 11-7, Kezz Small won from Emmanuel Mc Caskie 11-2, 11-7, Rivas Young won by default from Dimitri Charles and Kezz Small went past Uriah Lyttle 11-4, 11-8.
St. Vincent Grammar School Team (1) edged out West St. George Secondary School 3-2, Andre’ Mitchell beat Julian Farrell 11-6, 11-8, Saeed Bowman defeated Lawrence Bascombe 11-6, 10-12, 11-9, Wayne Bacchus edged past Mikael Hazelwood 8-11,11-7, 11-2, Julian Farrell won from Saeed Bowman 11-8, 11-8 and Andre’ Mitchell got past Lawrence Bascombe 9-11, 12-10, 11-7.
And, St. Vincent Grammar School (2) secured a three sets to LOVE victory over Dr. JP Eustace Memorial Secondary School, Jonathan Cruickshank beat Tahj Williams 11-7, 12-10, Chrislon Fraser defeated Kezz Small 8-11, 11-3, 11-3 and Christophe Harris won by default from Dimitri Charles.
The following teams have advanced to the semi-finals: St. Vincent Grammar School team (1) and Team (2), West St. George Secondary School and the Dr. JP Eustace Memorial Secondary School
The Championship will continue on Friday with the Open Singles’ also at the West St. George Secondary School scheduled to start at 1:30 pm.
