The organization of eastern Caribbean states OECS in collaboration with the ministry of health wellness and the environment this morning held an opening ceremony for a two day policy board and health ministers meeting.
Delivering the feature address at this morning’s opening incoming Chairperson and Minister of Health Clayton Burgin said issues affecting the health care system such as Ebola and chikungunya will feature prominently in the discussions over the next two days
And Director of the Social Sustainable Development Division of the OECS Commission Bentley Browne said the discussions will also focus on the Pharmaceutical Procurement Services PPS.
He said the meeting will assist in identifying the challenges facing Pharmaceutical Procurement Services PPS and ways in which the service can be enhanced.
The two day meeting is taking place at the NIS Conference Facility.
