Climate Change Experts from throughout the OECS will today wrap up the Climate Change Seminar which is looking at strategies in managing disaster risks and vulnerabilities.
Some eighty Experts are attending the session, which is coordinated by the OECS Secretariat.
Delivering the feature address at the opening ceremony Tuesday night, Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves called on Regional countries to develop measures that would allow the countries to adapt and strengthen their resilience to climate change.
The Prime Minister said the region needs to take more seriously the impact of climate change on its socioeconomic development.
Today, the National Emergency Management Organization is expected to conduct a tour for Media officials to view community projects that are part of a rebuilding and recovery exercise following damage from disasters.
