Secondary Schools students will have an opportunity to compete in the Lions Club South Public Speaking Competition this year.
The Ministry of Education and LIME St. Vincent Limited are partnering with the Lions Club South to host the competition, which was officially launched yesterday morning.
In his address, General Manager of LIME St. Vincent Limited Leslie Jack said the company has invested over thirty thousand dollars in this year’s competition that will be streamed live on the internet.
He said the winning school will also receive assistance towards a project within their school.
Meanwhile … President of the Lion’s Club South Michael John highlighted the main objectives of the competition.
And … Chairperson of the Planning Committee Junior Bacchus said the first preliminary round will take place later this month. He listed the schools and the topic to be discussed by students in Zone One.
