Eight gold medals were awarded on Saturday when the 2014 edition of the KCCU National Dance Festival opened at the Peace Memorial Hall.
Saturday’s programme featured performances in the Traditional and Creative Folk categories.
Dance Development Officer in the Ministry of Culture, Ann-Marie Venner says the performances were well-received by patrons.
Mrs. Venner said a number of silver and bronze medals were also awarded, following the performances last Saturday night.
