The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Reparations Committee says significant progress has been made in the call for Reparations.
This statement was made by Member of the Local Reparations Committee, Curtis King during the Face to Face program aired on NBC Radio as the Committee has embarked on a week of activities to mark the First Anniversary of the launch of the Regional Reparations Movement here in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
The week of activities runs from Sunday September 14th to Friday September 19th.
Mr. King said they have not set a timeline on achieving Reparations because this could be a long process.
Mr. King said while they expect it to be a costly process as the movement continues to call for Reparations, it is a cost that will have to be paid as the region seeks to right the wrongs that were committed to its people centuries ago.
