The Ministry of Health has received a donation of 20-thousand US dollars worth of medical equipment from the St. Vincent Brewery Limited.
The equipment was handed over to the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital, during a ceremony held at the Nurses Hostel on Tuesday.
The equipment included one fetal monitor, two plastic stint stretchers, three pulse oximeters, and one lifeline emergency cart.
Hospital Administrator Grace Walters expressed gratitude to the Brewery for fulfilling its pledge to secure the equipment for the
Milton Cato Memorial Hospital.
And, the Operations, Sales and Marketing Manager at the St. Vincent Brewery, Shafia London-Williams, said the donation of medical equipment to the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital marks the fulfillment of a pledge by the St. Vincent Brewery to support the ongoing relief effort.
Meanwhile, Minister of Health, Wellness and the Environment, Clayton Burgin, said noted that health care is a very expensive venture, and the Government is grateful for whatever assistance it receives from the private sector.
