Local Farmers are being introduced to the use of organic products for their Bananas and other crops.
The Ministry of Agriculture has organized a series of meetings to provide information on the production of their crops with the use of Health 2000 Agro Products.
Head of Agricultural Operations at Health 2000 in Guyana, Christopher Persaud says they are seeking to encourage Farmers to get involved in Organic Farming on a large scale, using the new technology.
Mr. Persaud says the idea is to introduce new methods in dealing with Black Sigatoka and new approaches to improve crop quality and yield.
Mr. Persaud say he is pleased with the outcome of the meetings as farmers seem to have a renewed interest in farming.
