St. Vincent and the Grenadines is again receiving assistance from Japan in developing the Fisheries sector.
This follows the official signing on Tuesday of an agreement in the amount of 8.5-million US dollars, representing Japan Grant Aid for Industrial Projects and for a Project to improve Fisheries Equipment.
Speaking at yesterday’s signing ceremony Counsellor at the Embassy of Japan in Trinidad and Tobago Mastosi Sato said the Government of Japan looks forward to co-operating in other areas, for the benefit of both countries.
And Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries Saboto Caesar expressed gratitude to the government and people of Japan, noting that the equipment would be used to further develop the fisheries sector.
