A number of local fishing communities are to benefit from equipment and machinery, which is being secured through the Japan Grant Aid program.
This was disclosed by Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves during a signing held on Tuesday of an agreement in the amount of 8.5-million US dollars, representing Japan Grant Aid for Industrial Projects and for a Project to improve Fisheries Equipment
Dr. Gonsalves urged the fisher folk to take care of the equipment that will help to enhance their efficiency.
The Prime Minister also provided details of the equipment that would be placed at various Industrial sites across the country.
