Groups and individuals throughout St. Vincent and the Grenadines are being encouraged to submit their projects for funding under the Eastern Caribbean Marine Management Areas Network or (ECMMAN) Project
The project is intended to establish a network of effective Marine Management Areas throughout the OECS region. It runs from 2013 to 2017, and is being funded by the German Government.
Director of the National Parks, Rivers and Beaches Authority, Andrew Wilson said the Eastern Caribbean Marine Management Areas Network or (ECMMAN) Project highlights the importance of marine and coastal areas to the livelihoods of the participating countries.
He noted it also seeks to protect these very important areas as it relates to Climate Change.
Mr. Wilson said the deadline for submission of projects is August 29th and he is encouraging individuals and groups to submit their projects for funding.
