Minister of Education Girlyn Miguel said while the Caribbean Primary Exit Assessment (CPEA) is in its pilot stage, she is confident that it holds tremendous opportunities for students at the primary level.
She made the point while speaking at a ceremony held here last week to mark the official release of the May/June examinations results by the Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC).
Minster Miguel said it provides the opportunity for students to achieve mastery on a variety of skills, competencies and literacies through the use of various strategies.
Minster Miguel said it is hoped that the concept of the CPEA will be used to improve the delivery of education at various stages of educational development.
