Education Officer with responsibility for Information and Communication Technology, ICT, Chanyatt Ramsamooj says the Ministry of Education will continue to push for greater integration of ICT in the schools’ curriculum.
Mrs. Ramsamooj, gave this commitment, as she discussed the use of ICT in education during NBC’s Views On Issues programme on Sunday.
The discussion focused on the topic: “ICT in Education – Charting the way forward in a digital age”
Mrs. Ramsamooj said ICT in education can bring wide-ranging benefits to students, including improved preparation for the technological advancements which exist in today’s workplaces.
And, IT coordinator at the Dr. JP Eustace Secondary School, Suyini Clarke-Palmer, said ICT has an important role in today’s society.
