St. Vincent and the Grenadines has emerged winners in the Caribbean Association of National Telecommunication Organizations (CANTO) Connect the Caribbean project.
Kyron Duncan from the Universal Service Fund said this competition was won using the Smart Project which involved an agreement with telecommunications provider LIME for Internet access to be provided for 340 households throughout the country for ten Eastern Caribbean (EC) Dollars per month.
Meanwhile Director of Special Projects in the Prime Minister’s Office, Dr. Jerrol Thompson has said that the country’s winning of this high profile Information and Communications Technology (ICT) competition is evidence of the ongoing work to enhance the nation’s Technological capabilities.
