Work on the Control Tower at the Argyle International Airport is expected to be completed by September of this year.
The Tower and the Fire Station at the Airport site are being constructed with funds from a loan secured from the Bank of Nova Scotia to the tune of ten million U.S Dollars.
Engineer at Franko Construction Company Bradley Francis said his company commenced work on the project during the month of January.
He said they had previously requested an extension for the deadline because there were a number of changes to be made at the top of the building to facilitate the work which has to be done by Aeronav Incorporated an Aviation Company out of Canada.
Meanwhile, Richard Lubek of Aeronav Incorporated an Aviation Company out of Canada said the company commenced their work on the Control Tower this week and they expect to complete the work in twelve weeks.
