The Cocoa Producers Cooperative Society Limited (COPCO) held a successful meeting this week, as the move to revive this country’s cocoa industry has been taken one step further.
The meeting, which was held on Tuesday at Frenches House, heard a report from the interim committee and elected a Board of Directors and a Supervisory Committee to take the process forward.
Former Chairman of the Interim Committee, Oscar Allen says the meeting was also addressed by Minister of Agriculture Saboto
Caesar.
Mr. Allen said the discussion focused on a wide range of critical issues.
Mr. Allen also said the meeting was described very enthusiastic and interactive, with one person expressing confidence that the Industry is in the hands of people who will make it work.
