The opposition New Democratic Party (NDP) last week Thursday staged a “Ring De Bell” anti-corruption march and rally in Kingstown.
The march commenced at the NDP headquarters and culminated at Heritage Square with a Rally.
Public Relations Officer of the Party, Senator Vynnette Frederick, said the event was held to highlight their displeasure with the Government’s handling of the nation’s affairs and to force the Prime Minister to call early General Elections.
Miss Frederick said the event was also held in answer to a call by some members of the population to take action against corruption.
A simple march doesn’t change anything but a vote of nonconfidence does. Oh I forget you don’t spend enough time in Parliament to introduce such a motion nd it is a majority govt.
