The provision of laptops to students across the country is expected to result in improved performance at both the primary and secondary levels.
The point was made by Minister responsible for Information and Communications Technology, ICT, Camillo Gonsalves, as he addressed the launch this week of a one-month training programme for some 700 Secondary School Teachers.
The training programme is designed to enhance the capacity of the Teachers to use ICT tools in the classroom.
Minister Gonsalves noted that the approach to teaching has to change, in order to ensure that children do not become distracted and bored.
