The Cooperatives Division in the Ministry of Social Development says it will continue to encourage “thrifting” in the nation’s schools, through initiatives aimed at improving the schools cooperative movement.
That’s according to Representative of the Cooperatives Division, Albert Edwards, as he discussed issues relating to the local cooperative movement during NBC’s Views On Issues programme on Sunday.
Mr. Edwards said the Ministry continues to partner with various stakeholders to keep the schools cooperatives on sound footing in the nation’s schools.
Mr. Edwards also said the role of the Cooperative Division is to ensure the continued development of the cooperative sector.
