Teachers who were involved in the Annual two-week summer training workshop received certificates at a closing ceremony held at the Memorial Hall yesterday.
The workshop was coordinated by the SVG Teachers Union in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, the Canadian Teacher’s Federation and the Basic Needs Trust Fund.
This year, the sessions focused on Early Childhood Education, Trade Unionism and Special Education.
Speaking at yesterday’s closing ceremony Project coordinator for the Basic Needs Trust Fund (BNTF) Kenneth Douglas urged the Teachers to use their newly acquired knowledge.
The Team Leader of the Canadian Teacher’s Federation Maxine Geller also expressed her gratitude to the Teachers Union for the invitation to be a part of the workshop. She said working collaboratively can contribute to quality and equitable education worldwide.
