Heads of Government of the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States, OECS, concluded deliberations at the 59th Meeting of the OECS Authority held at the NIS Conference Centre today.
Addressing the Closing News Conference, Chairman of the OECS Authority, Dominica’s Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit said today’s meeting was very successful.
Prime Minister Skerrit said the deliberations were profound and touched on a number of critical matters confronting the OECS, including reducing expenditure in a number of areas.
Prime Minister Skerrit also spoke of progress being made in relation to giving associate membership of the OECS to three countries in the region.
The OECS Authority also approved the Annual Work Programme and Budget for the OECS Commission for the period July 2014 to June 2015
