Steps are being taken here to establish a national organization which would focus on promoting the use of marijuana for medical purposes.
The first step towards his initiative was taken last week Wednesday when some twenty-five persons from the Greggs community came together at the headquarters of the Rastafarian Progressive Society.
A release from coordinator Junior Spirit Cottle says the meeting discussed the decriminalization of marijuana and the legalization of the drug for medical purposes.
The release says the next meeting is set to take place in the North Leeward village of Troumaca, on a date to be announced.
