Delegates attending this week’s meeting of Heads of Social Security of CARICOM have been urged to make a concerted effort to come to agreement on the range of issues relating to the CARICOM Reciprocal Agreement on Social Security.
The appeal came from Executive Director of the National Insurance Services, NIS of St. Vincent and the Grenadines Reginald Thomas, as he addressed the opening of the meeting this morning.
Mr. Thomas urged the participants to expand their vision and work together to region’s social security system.
Meanwhile representative of the CARICOM Secretariat, Olivia Smith challenged the delegates to move quickly to diminish the imbalances which exist in the social security system.
