A call has been made for individuals here to play a critical role in ensuring that dangerous goods do not circulate here in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
The call came from Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Commerce and Trade, Nathaniel Williams during his address at the opening of a workshop on the Rapid Alert System for Information Exchange on Dangerous Goods on Tuesday.
He said there needs to be proper mechanisms in place to govern food safety measures.
The workshop was attended by persons who are involved in Trading in Goods.
It was is intended to boost consumer protection and confidence and improve the quality of products entering and trading on the regional market.
