Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves has said that despite the challenges and difficulties, much progress has been made by the Caribbean Community CARICOM, during its 41 years of existence
Delivering his address at the 35th CARICOM Summit in Antigua as Outgoing CARICOM Chairman, Dr. Gonsalves said a concerted regional approach is required to improve the economy of regional countries.
He also said that there needs to be greater support for the regional integration movement.
The Prime Minister said the unacceptable denial of citizenship to persons of Haitian descent born in the Dominican Republic, must be kept on the front burner of CARICOM concerns.
