Buccament Bay beat Jus Fuh De Fun on a faster scoring rate on Sunday in the 4th Annual Dover’s Electrical Services, East Kingstown Sports Association Twenty/20 Softball Cricket Championship at the Grammar School Playing Field.
The scores: Buccament Bay 107 off 20-overs, after being 71 without loss after 11-overs at one stage; Rawl Stapleton 32 and Lorenzo De Gras 26; Wayne William 4 for 9, Rawlson Nanton 2 for 13, Jus Fuh De Fun reached 64 for 4 off 11.3-overs when rain ended play.
In other scheduled matches on Sunday, Combined Forces won by default from Attackers (2) and Attackers (1) also won by the default from Valley Boys.
Meanwhile, heavy overnight left the Grammar School Playing Field waterlogged hence both matches on Saturday was abandoned without a ball been bowl.
Customs, Spartans, Buccament Bay and Bank of St. Vincent and the Grenadines All Stars each had to settle for 4 points each.
Teams advancing to quarter-finals, in Zone (1), Attackers (1), AL-CO-HO-LIX, Dr. Thomas Injectors and CK Greaves Stars. General Hardware Supplies Richmond Hill United is the only team to advance from Zone (2) so far. The other spots would be decided this weekend.
On Saturday, Bank of St. Vincent and the Grenadines All Stars will meet Jus Fuh De Fun from 12:30 pm and from 3 pm, General Hardware Supplies Richmond Hill United will play Buccament Bay. No Games on Sunday.
