Officials in Trinidad say over ninety-nine pounds of cured compressed Marijuana, believed to be imported from St. Vincent were seized by Police in Tobago, during an exercise in the forested area of Moriah yesterday.
According to reports, a Party of Officers from the Divisional Task Force, acting on a tip-off went to an area near King Peter’s Bay Road, where two bags containing ten cylindrical packages were found hidden in a rocky embankment.
The packages weighing 45 kilogrammes are said to have a street value of 150-thousand Trinidad and Tobago dollars.
The exercise was carried out between Tuesday and Wednesday.
No one was arrested and investigations are continuing.
