The St. Vincent and the Grenadines National Health Accounts study was officially launched here today, at a one-day workshop attended by representatives from a number of key government agencies such as the Ministry of Health Wellness and the Environment
The study is designed to measure health spending, including spending on HIV/AIDS, in St. Vincent and the Grenadines
Speaking at this morning’s opening ceremony Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health Louis De Shong said the role of the health sector is to guarantee quality health service for all citizens.
Mr. De Shong said the health care system has been adversely affected over the years due by a lack of financial resources.
Mr. De Shong said the data from the National Health Accounts Study will be used to facilitate improvements in the health sector
