Vincentians are being urged to do more to assist the Central Water and Sewerage Authority, CWSA, in conserving water, as the prolonged dry season continues.
The CWSA’s Public Relations and Marketing Manager, Joan Ryan made the appeal, during NBC’s Face to Face programme yesterday, which focused on the current state of the nation’s water supply.
Miss Ryan said despite the rainfall experienced in recent weeks, the water levels at the Dalaway, Majorca and Montreal intakes have not improved.
She urged residents in communities across the country to take a leading role in sensitizing persons on the importance of water conservation.
Miss Ryan also reminded persons that water conservation is everyone’s responsibility.
