Chief Education Officer Lou-Anne Gilchrist has made a strong appeal to Vincentians to ensure that they receive good returns on their investment in tertiary level education.
Miss Gilchrist made the appeal, during her remarks at the start of a one-day Symposium held at the NIS Conference Room on Tuesday.
The Symposium was held to discuss the possibilities and challenges of investing in tertiary level education, and to advise persons on the role of the National Accreditation Board in this process.
Miss Gilchrist stressed that certain checks must be made before steps are taken to invest money in higher learning.
Miss Gilchrist advised persons who may be doubtful about a particular Educational Institution to contact the National Accreditation Board for assistance.
Tuesday’s Symposium was attended by Secondary School Teachers and personnel from Financial Institutions.
