Issues relating to Vector Borne Diseases will be highlighted at a Primary Schools Public Speaking Competition today.
Nine primary schools are expected to compete in the competition, which is organized by the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Digicel.
The students in this year’s competition will be judged in a Prepared Speech and an Impromptu segment. The topic for the prepared speech is: Small Creatures, Big Threat- Stop Vector Borne Diseases.
Vying for the Digicel challenge trophy this year are: Evesham Government, Bequia Anglican Primary, Kingstown Anglican, Marriaqua Government, Windsor Primary, CW Prescod Primary, Kingstown Preparatory, Belmont Government and the Barroullie Government Schools.
The Competition takes place at the Methodist Church Hall from nine this morning.
