Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves, will deliver a distinguished open lecture at the St. Augustine Campus of the University of the West Indies this evening.
The Lecture titled “Free Movement of People, Shanique Myrie and Our Caribbean Civilization” will be presented at the Lecture Theatre E of The UWI’s new Teaching and Learning Complex, St. Augustine Trinidad.
The Prime Minister’s presentation is the third in a lecture series organized by the University and focusing on CARICOM by exploring its usefulness to the region and its future.
The lectures are being held as part of CARICOM’s 40th anniversary celebrations.
On April 7, Prime Minister of the Bahamas Perry Gladstone Christie, spoke on the role of The Bahamas in CARICOM.
The series began in October 2013 with CARICOM Secretary-General Ambassador Irwin LaRocque presenting a lecture titled Where is CARICOM Going?”
Next Tuesday’s lecture begins at 5:30pm.
